Business:
When you begin on the unsecure ladder of showbusiness, you go through dark periods of wondering when the next pay check will come in. Thankfully I no longer have that worry as nobody ever pays anymore. It's real piece of mind knowing that a cheque just won't be showing up. It allows you to plan the trips to the jobcentre more accurately.

Even though performing is my number 1 choice of career, I've branched out on a few occasions and started a few entertainment based businesses along the way. After all, most performing work is on a night, so it's either do something worthwhile or watch daytime terrestrial TV every day, which I am unable to do without vomiting.

In 2005 I created Radio Magic. Having had several years as a professional DJ with my own breakfast show, I pitched the concept of an hour long specialist magic chat programme to the studio owners. They went for it. Our first programme broadcast in the summer of 2005 and we became the most listened to specialist magic radio show and podcast in the world. We ran for a year and then moved onto other projects. In that time, I had the real thrill of interviewing top magicians across the world. Radio Magic was a success both financially and within the magic world. In 2006 we started RadioMagic.co.uk; a dedicated website for the show and began streaming 24/7. In 2007 Radio Magic created The Magic Interview Series; a longer version of our most popular feature from the live weekly shows. In 2008 RadioMagic.co.uk simplified its web output and now offers specialist media, audio, visual and printed, for magicians as eMagicalMedia.com.

I've been lucky enough to have had residencies at various theme parks around London and have written and presented family shows to cater for these venues. Sometimes we would have several hundred people in one show and although I'm not a children's entertainer, quickly realised that potential bookings were walking out the door in their hundreds! In 2006 I created Corporate Kids Parties to handle both private and corporate engagements for children's events. Since then I've added many different styles of entertainers to the books. Corporate Kids Parties now supply everything from magicians at private birthday parties with party bags and all the trimmings, through to inflatables and all the entertainment for fun days.

Future goals include creating more services through these two ventures and new ways to improve and expand the businesses.
